Jungian therapy is psychodynamic therapy. It places value on the lifelong struggle towards awareness of how our inner and outer worlds relate and on personal growth and development throughout life. The focus is on fostering relatedness both to self and others. The aim is for the client to become both psychologically stronger and more aware of what is creative and destructive in themselves and their lives. This represents an inner journey of self-discovery and personal meaning, sometimes arduous but profoundly rewarding, and unique to each person. The client is then in a position to pursue psychological growth independently and in their own individual way.
